Q: How much does Lab cost?

A: Leadership Lab costs $420 per person. There are various discounts available, including: Churches attending Leadership Lab for the first time, attended Leadership Lab the previous year, and one free adult for every 5 youth. Prices increase $50 on April 1st.


Q: Should I send my whole youth group?

A: You can send one youth, a few, or a whole group. Participants will all be assigned to their own small group for the week of Leadership Lab.


Q: What are the housing arrangements?

A: Housing is provided in college dorm rooms. Participants will either have a private bedroom in a suite shared with up to four others, including a shared bathroom within the suite, or they will have one roommate and share a bathroom with another room, totaling four participants sharing one full bathroom. Participants are typically grouped with those from other churches.


Q: What does the registration cost cover?

A: The registration cost covers housing, learning materials, and meals starting with dinner on Monday night and ending with breakfast on Saturday morning.


Q: Do I need to stay the whole week?

A: Yes, participants are expected to attend all sessions and activities from the opening session until the closing session. Exceptions are made at the discretion of the Leadership Lab Directors, but is discouraged.


Q: Can I leave the Augustana campus after Leadership Lab begins?

A: No. Leadership Lab participants are not allowed to leave campus after Leadership Lab begins.


Q: Can I invite friends or family to campus for Leadership Lab?

A: No. Leadership Lab is a closed campus and only registered participants are allowed on campus. Friends and family are invited to join the opening worship session on Monday afternoon and the closing worship on Saturday morning.


Q: What if my travel arrangements cause me to arrive a day early or stay a day later?

A: If you are traveling from out of state via plane, arrangements can be made to provide housing before and/or after Leadership Lab. There must be an accompanying adult to provide supervision provided at all times. There is an additional fee associated with this to cover housing and meal expenses.


Q: Do you offer transportation to/from Chicago airports or Quad Cities airport?

A: If you are flying into the Quad Cities airport, bus, taxi, and ride share services are available. If you are flying into a different airport, please contact the Leadership Lab Directors as soon as your travel arrangements are made. We may be able to connect you with another group that it also flying in so you can share the expense of getting to Augustana. Typically groups either rent a van or arrange a charter bus.
